B.S. in Computer Engineering.
I almost did Electrical Engineering--I think I only missed a class or two for that.

Coolio. How much maths does that entail?

Well, the signal processing classes use a lot of differential equations, linear algebra, and some basic complex analysis. Statistics for engineers uses a lot of calculus including some Fourier Transforms. As I recall, it had some linear algebra with vectors too. Electromagnetic waves had a lot of multivariable calculus.

Anyhow, pretty much the most used mathematical equation for electrical engineers is Euler's Formula relating sine and cosine to natural exponent e.

Nothing really fancy like differential geometry, manifolds, tensor analysis, or even number theory and abstract algebra. I had to pick up basic abstract algebra mostly on my own, and it is quite useful for things like cryptography.

I'm a dragon although I'm often mistaken for a cat.
I'm in the doghouse because I'm in trouble for being a smartaleck.

You look like a cat.

Oh I thought you meant smartalect, as in a cross between smart and intellect. But you mean, smart alick.

Who is giving you into trouble? We will go sort them out.

I'm an accountant. though I'm not sure if that qualifies for 'mathmetician'. All we need to know how to do is add and subtract. Although I always enjoyed my math classes - well, i preferred them to all my other classes.

If only i'd pursued math and become an actuary. I understand they pay much better than accountants.

Ooh, I like that word: smartalect. What a beautiful portmanteau. I might have to use that one once in a while. I hope you'll let me since apparently you thought I said it in the first place.

I am, but I'd be careful. Whenever I battle myself it always ends in a draw.

Feel free. I should start a new dictionary. I have my friends back home using the word "shengus".

If I help, it might not end in a draw. LOL.
