Biden's Economy?

Post by Icarus »

The percentage of 'thriving' Americans has hit a record high, poll finds

https://theweek.com/polls/1002370/the-p ... vxhbDPfTUY

If this were true last year it'd be non-stop coverage on FOX and the then President would be incessantly tweeting about it.

Democrats suck at explaining why they're so much better for the economy.

The US economy is set to grow at the fastest pace since 1984 thanks to stimulus and the rapid vaccine rollout, the OECD said

Meanwhile, the idiots in Right Wing fantasyland are ignorant of the fact that Trump is the first President in history to leave office with fewer Americans working than were working when he took office.

Just in case anyone forgot, Trump boasted that he was the reason black unemployment dropped to record lows in his first few months in office. Right Wing propaganda outlets ran with it for years without question. Apparently Trump being in office caused the decline that began during the Obama administration.

Not much that Trump claims survives looking at the full picture. Of course, he doesn't really care about the fact checkers: all that matters is that he gets to stand up in public and say it to his fans.

And, judging from their reactions, they have no interest in asking whether the stuff he says is true or false. It just makes them feel good, and that's quite enough for them.

Icarus, what is your prediction for these numbers on January 1, 2025?

Uh, partly cloudy with a chance of meatballs? Who predicts the economy four years in advance? There are way too many variables to consider that may or may not happen, not least of which is Biden being able to pass his economic agenda. I'm posting the data graph to demonstrate the myth that Republican administrations are always better for the economy. In fact, the last five recessions started under Republican administrations. Coincidence? Maybe. But it is still ridiculous to keep attacking Democrats as if they're bad for the economy. At most all you can argue is that the booming economies that typically happen under their leadership, have nothing to do with who's President. In which case, the dozens of gloom and doom predictions about how the world is going to end if we elect a Democrat is shown to be a lie.

by the way, I updated the image.

The economy just hit 6.5 GDP growth for Q2 after hitting 6.4 for Q1. Looks like this is the greatest economic expansion since 1984. This reminds me of 2008 when FOX News predicted that if Obama got elected, we'd see 20% unemployment, a crashed stock market, and $10 gallon gasoline. 12 years later they're still spreading the usual B.S. trying to scare their audience away from voting Democrat.

Says our erstwhile "original thought" specialist, whose mantra parrots FOX to a T.

If you had half an education you'd at least make the slightest attempt at a counter-argument here. I mean, you're obviously a Conservative, right? How do you defend this perpetual lie about Republicans always producing a better economy? The data doesn't lie.

Do you even realize how eaten up you are with complaining about fox, conservatives or anyone who doesn't think like you?? Maybe try not insulting posters and things could calm down. I don't speak for cultellus, but if you insult me I'm going to insult you. Why do I do that?? Because reading through older post on this board you guys have ran off anyone who doesn't think like you by insulting them away.
You've already showed how the insults coming your way upset you!! That's why you complained to Dr shades. Icarus, think of how the insults you are receiving here make you feel sir!! Do you like them?? No you don't! And that's the point I'm making sir! When you insult posters you make them feel uncomfortable and upset, the same way you feel when I insult you. STOP!!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again, you control how I respond to you. Insult me and I insult you.

FOX News is the #1 source of propaganda for Right Wingers which is why virtually every dumb thing the two of you have said can be found in a previously aired FOX News skit. Saying I don't like them because they don't "think like me" makes you sound like an idiot. I don't like them because they've done more to divide this country since the turn of the century than any other mechanism. They pretend to be news while lying and whenever they get sued for it they argue in court that they're just an opinion show.

Your "insults" are laughable nonsense that no one takes seriously. I only complained to Shades about the incessant trolling, after you went on a tirade of creating threads that consisted of nothing more than youtube links. When no one responded to your abject stupidity, you'd respond to your own threads just to bump them to the front. You did this because you're an idiot who cannot think for himself and a moron who gets off on trolling. When shown to be an idiot you get so upset about it that you try to push the evidence so far down the front page that it eventually finds itself on page 2. And don't think for a second you have anyone fooled. You and Cult are the same person.

Stop giving yourself so much credit. Your comments are inane and borderline retarded. If me pointing out your idiocy makes you feel insulted then maybe you should try to interact with people as this forum was intended and stop trolling.

You're doing precisely what we've been complaining about on this very thread. You're not commenting on Biden's Economy, you're just trying to derail the thread so it will stop focusing on Biden's economy because it upsets you so much that Biden's economy is far superior to that of his predecessor.

Icarus is a liar.

He also knows he is lying.
Lying is making a statement that one knows to be materially false; most people use the term only when the person making the false statement has a bad end in view (i.e. is not simply making a joke or writing fiction).

Please clarify your post by giving an example of a statement of fact that Icarus has made that:

(a) Is materially false.
(b) You can be reasonably sure that Icarus knew to be false.
