Rent, home prices, consumer prices, and medical care are too much to be honest, and those things negate gains easily hence the foul mood.
I agree. I would by no means say the economy is "great". But it's not the result of a particular political party, and no Republican, especially Trump is going to fix it. I don't know what the answer is.

I’d start by outlawing corporations from owning more than a few single-family homes. I’d also give housing authorities massive amounts of $$$ to build three and four bedroom apartment towers with street-level space for businesses like cafes, grocery stores, whatever.

Obviously universal healthcare.

I’d break up conglomerations who have, essentially, monopolies or oligopolies over their respective industries.

Finally, minimum wage would literally mean the minimum wage you need to raise two or three kids. Start at $32/hr and tack it the annual CPI.

Sit back and watch the Civil War ensue since Maggats can’t stand the thought of others feeling happy and secure in their lives.

Yes, I see and understand your point there, but as you already implied, this underscores the hypocrisy of the Right in blaming the government for rising prices while opposing the very measures and regulations that could mitigate the rising cost of those things you mentioned.
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

[...]
Just in my neck of the woods, the "landlord" arm of a private equity firm bought 264 single-family homes, in a single day last summer. To put that into perspective, the new home build projection for 2024 is currently 11,500. A single entity bought the equivalent of over 2% of the annual housing supply... in a single day.

In 2022 32% of all home sales were purchased by corporations in the greater Atlanta area.

That's capitalism at work.

But when prices go up as a result of reduced supply, Biden gets blamed along with "Socialism."

Canada passed a law banning corporations from doing this in their country for this exact reason and we should do it as well.

The right had no say at all for two years. This economy is the result of policies that all of you voted for and supported.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

It's both remarkable and depressing how 62% of people polled still think Biden is doing a poor job on the economy despite the good current statistics like high growth rate, low unemployment rate, decreasing fuel prices, slowing inflation rate, high job creation, increasing consumer confidence, etc. By almost every economic measure, the national economy is doing better and improving faster than at any time during Trump's administration. Why is so much of the American populace readier to believe pessimistic lies about the economy than what should be encouraging and readily available news? Why are hard right conservative Republicans so much better at spreading discouraging disinformation than Democrats and progressives are at spreading what ought to be encouraging truth?
You might appreciate this article from Fortune on this subject:

https://fortune.com/2024/01/08/narrativ ... arsely-api

Political pundits are scratching their heads trying to figure out why so many people report that they are feeling economic hardship at a time when many of the standard economic measures are strong. By most traditional accounts, the U.S. economy is in excellent shape. But the average American’s confidence in the economy has been plunging to numbers not seen since 2008.

Our research on organizing to advance big, transformative change teaches us two insights.

First, we need to help people make sense of their world, not tell them what to think. That means listening closely to people’s experiences. If they’re afraid they can’t pay their bills, we need to help them make sense of that lived reality. That starts by taking that lived reality seriously, not just telling people things are fine.

When we listen to people, it becomes clear that aggregate statistics no longer reflect the reality most people live in. Unemployment may be low, but if you can only find work at low wages and irregular hours, things aren’t fine. Inflation may be dropping, but if your paycheck no longer covers your rent (the way we measure inflation doesn’t adequately capture housing costs), things aren’t fine. If you’re two percent better off than last year, but you were on the edge of disaster last year, things aren’t fine.

We need to talk about that reality–economic inequality, corporate power, and economic insecurity.

Ajax you don't understand economics. Your identity is your politics so anything you say about the economy can be reduced to the binary of said identity politics. “F” off.
