Surviving the Ending of America

The majority of the South wants to secede from America. Republicans want Trump as an unelected dictator. That seed planted by Vladimir Putin seems to have germinated and is thriving.
How best can we help our families survive the coming unpleasantness? Global warming seems bad enough, but the probable collapse of the world economy as a byproduct of Trumpian fascism is really scary.

The first Civil War was fought so the North could maintain control of the southern economy. Abraham Lincoln admitted it wasn't to end slavery.
And Moksha have no fear, your new country will make sure your EBT card is replenished each month as well as making sure your lettuce and cucumbers are kept cheap through illegal immigrant quasi slave labor. If you're a really good Trotskyite, Nancy might even have you over for ice cream as long as you put your mask on and off in between bites.
Rumor has it that if we secede, Doc, Jersey Girl, Icarus and all the rest will be coming out of retirement just to help pay your SSI-Disability check. Be thankful you'll still have such caring countrymen and be rid of selfish people that work 6 day weeks until death like myself.

It’s always astonishing to me when I see people like Xanax complaining that whomever he thinks his people are don’t have enough power or control through their politics.
The average American also exercises less influence over their elected representatives than in years past. Republicans today enjoy a cascade of structural advantages that insulate them from the popular will. President Donald Trump captured the presidency despite losing the popular vote by almost three million ballots, then appointed two Supreme Court justices who will secure a conservative majority for at least a generation. A decade of partisan gerrymandering by the GOP forced Democratic candidates to win by overwhelming margins just to secure a majority in the House. The red states fare little better: Voter suppression in Georgia appears to have secured Governor-elect Brian Kemp’s razor-thin victory, while warped legislative maps in Wisconsin allowed Republicans to keep control of both houses while Democrats got more statewide vote.
Many of these problems are ultimately fixable. Redistricting reform at the state level, a new Voting Rights Act at the federal level, statehood for the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, and decentralizing power in Congress are all practical options in the near-to-medium future. Maine’s experiment in ranked-choice voting, if adopted more widely, could give voters more options beyond the two-party system. Abolishing the Electoral College would also be a worthy long-term fight. If nothing else, these solutions are at least less extreme than dissolving the Union.

If nothing else, these solutions are at least less extreme than dissolving the Union.
And if we just let the red states just leave, who would do all the work and pay the bills?

A fascist dictatorship under Trump could employ many through military conscription to help build a thousand-year Trumpapaloosa. Those red states would hit a snag with the collapse of the world bank. Do you think they would seek to sell Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico to China?
