Why do I want to go to Las Vegas?

Post by _Jersey Girl »

1. How warm is it there this time of year?
2. Can I go swimming?
3. What kind of shopping is there?
4. Are there any scrapbooking stores?
5. I don't gamble, but I'm not above it. What could I realistically "win" and on what type of game should I win it?
6. What if I want to go to a show, how far in advance do I buy tickets?

First one mocks the scrapbooking question gets it in spades.

Yes, but the cashiers are topless.

So long as they don't go anywhere near the die cut machine, I'm good with that.

The weather here lately is perfect. sunny and warm.

I see people down at the Planet Hollywood and Monte Carlo pools every day.

There is every kind of shopping you could think of, from very high end to low end. I worked on this place last year: Town Square . Its on the end of the Strip.

Theres Scraping time on Russel Road. Here: Scrappin’ Time

Please Gamble here. Proceeds from your losses means I get to keep building here in town. Also american money helps keep the Kingdom Of Dubai's money from buying everything on town.

Show tickets here are fairly easy to come by. Depends on what you want to see.

The neat thing is you can play the slots at the entrance to the scrapbooking store.

I got to thinking about this again while reading someone's blog online. They went to a pool so I guess that's possible. Is it a climate where you could swim in winter?

I think you posted about that before! Gosh, airfares are crazy though...

That looks like my LSS!! (I think you know what I mean) It's advertised in the back of my CK mag. I'd definitely go there!!

I really don't know how to gamble. :-) I could do a slot machine though. Can you win anything good on those?

Trivia: I once went to a casino with my MIL and others. It was a matter of you getting a cup full of tokens/coins (I want to say it was nickels) and then you used those on the slot machines. I never got my own cup because I just don't think gambling is smart to do. Anyway, I snagged a couple of coins out of JB's cup and tried out a slot machine. And then I snagged some more....and then I ended up taking his cup away from him! I never won anything though.

Hey! Thanks for that link! I haven't seen that one before.

As I said before, airfares are CRAZY right now and not in a good way. It's something I'd have to plan in advance and save up for. If you book tickets far in advance, ticket prices are significantly lower.

I would so do that, mok!

I just have a reason for wanting to take a trip not so far from where I live, not the least of which has to do with escapism in general!

Slots and a pattern paper binge.

I can do that!

Vegas is pretty warm May through the end of October.

July and August can be lethal.
