Not to be outdone, the Republicans planted a BYU student mole in the National Democratic Headquarters. One night this BYU student taped open the doors to the Headquarters at the Watergate Hotel. I heard that he later graduated from BYU with honors.

And, as the term "social justice" has long been utilized (along with the ever so Orwellian "progressive") as code for "socialism", you've just made my point here quite nicely.

Thanks.

Do you even know what "socialism" is or have you ever even read any of Orwell's book, you ignorant little cretin?

The evolution of the term progressive is complex. The American progressive movement evolved out of the closely related populist movement. The term was picked simply because it implies moving towards modern enlightenment. Modern progressives see kinship with that old movement and are closely ideologically related so they call themselves progressives. There are definite socialist leanings among progressives now as there were then.

I think Angus is itching to point out that George Orwell, while an anti-communist, was a staunch socialist. He was. But all Droopy is trying to say is that the term progressive is a carefully picked euphamism for socialist, which isn't quite right. It's a slight misuse of the term Orwellian in any case, but well within the bounds of how it has been loosened up through misuse.

Socialism has been explained to him numerous times, both in terms of the "theory" and the fact that the Marxist theory is nothing like what existed in Russia or China.

Honestly? Here's the bottom line:

President Bush screwed us up so much with 1) The Iraq War, and 2) The Economy (lack of oversight for Wall St.) that:

1) Senator McCain was DOA because he's Republican.

2) Senator Obama represents change in two ways:

1) He's not a Republican, and

2) He's Black:

- What I mean by that is White Men have been such fuckin' insufferable pricks, damned everyone in the asshole as witnessed by 1) The Iraq War, and 2) Wall St. that people are sick of it. Plus, people just want to get past the race thing, and this is the opportunity to do that.

SO. What does that really mean?

Well.

- It's ok to kill 1.67 million babies a year while wringing our hands over a few thousand Iraqis deaths. Our sense of moral 'rightness' is completely skewed. I just don't see the problem with American and Iraqi deaths as compared to the millions we've electively slaughtered out of convenience through abortion. Crazy.

- It's ok to completely socialize the economy because, well, rich white Ivy League Assholes have raped us into insolvency.

- It's to vote an overt Socialist into the White House, for the first time in American history, because an IDIOT dickhead Yale asshole screwed his Presidency up.

All that being said. When President Obama is sworn in, I'll offer him the same honor and support that I offered President Bush:

I'm with you until you really undermine our long-term future for territorial integrity, economic viability, and national security. I hope Senator Obama does a better job than President Bush. *fingers crossed*

Sad thing is it seems Obama does not need Acorn to cheat for him to win. McCain seem bent on handing Obama the election.

It amazes me that there are still people out there whining this lie

They counted the vote like three or four times. Bush came out ahead EVERY TIME. A year lated or so after the chad issue was looked into some paper did a study and found that Bush still won. The only way Gore could have one was if the liberal Florida court put him in. The US SC did the right thing. Even though Bush had ended up being pretty much an idiot he one both times.
