All that constant negative campaigning can be a real turn off for some voters. Those with a conscience do not like to see their party's candidate running a smear campaign.

Endorsing Obama simply indentifies one as a Republican who doesn't think but leaves when the going gets tough (or as a black person voting for a black person because they're black).
