The 90's...Classic Era for TV and Movies

KA's 80's thread inspired me.
I started thinking about fun TV shows and some of my favorite movies. Most of them were made in the 90's!
My 3 favorite TV shows that I own DVD's to, and faithfully watch reruns for are Seinfeld, Friends, and Sex and the City. Seinfeld was the sitcom that really "set the stage" for ensemble comedy. The show was more about the characters than the plot.
Frasier was another classic show, and of course, there was Cheers.
Movies...OMG! The Jurassic Park movies.....Sabrina (the remake).....Clear and Present Danger.....the Lethal Weapon movies......In 1999 alone, some of my faves were The Matrix, Charlie's Angels, The World is Not Enough, The Thomas Crown Affair....
Anyone else have favorites from the 90's?

One film that stands out for me from the previous decade was Leon: The Professional. It starred a very young Natalie Portman acting her heart out, and the great Gary Oldman as a corrupt psychotic policeman. Not a movie for kids, but a great story with great performances. The films climax puts you on the edge of your seat, featuring one of the best shootouts in film history.
Leon: The professionalThe character Matilda, played by Portman, comes from a horrific home enviorment. Leon's existence consists of one mob hit after another, living as nothing more than a killing machine. With the opening of his doorway to save Matilda he brings into his life someone he can care for and love. This is undoubtably a very rough guy film, but with a nice undercurrant of sacrificing for someone you love.

Interesting. . . you listed films from 1999, but didn't mention
Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
Guess it didn't leave much of an impression.
