Glen Beck - has he lost it

As an Australian I find the way some Americans view their country and its relationship to the rest of the world as rather strange. I saw Stephan Cobert citing all these instances where Hannity says America is the best etc etc country in the world. I think Australia is a good country and have no desire to leave and go to America, however I do not think Australia is better, just different. Then we Glen Beck going off all melodramatic on Fox. He said the other day when he went to church (He is LDS) that some member felt he was acting like Chicken Little ( the sky is falling). Stephan Cobert took the mickey out of him. Now we have Newt Ginrich converting to Catholicism (he latest wife is one). He confessed to James Dobson that he had been unfaithful to his second wife.

Don't know how your sky is looking over in Australia, but ours
is falling here up above the equator.
Glenn Beck is an entertainer, so he has to flail his arms and make noise. And while I'm not a Glenn Beck "fan", I will admit he has been very, very right about many things relating to the economy over the last few years. His current rantings about the US debt and our obligations for Social Security and Medicare are spot on. I would also be wary of judging Beck only on snippets and sound bites. When he does entire segments on certain subjects (the RE bubble, American debt etc.), he gets competent experts on the show and you can learn a lot since he asks the simple, straightforward questions that cut through the BS.

Yes, I am quite sure Beck has "lost it."
I listened to him on a little road trip today and could barely believe what I was hearing. The guy is totally nut-so. I can't believe people actually listen to him for direction (or something), or find him a serious thinker in any sense of the word. He is really quite ridiculous.
Beck talks as if he is a brilliant thinker coming up with all sorts of predictions. NOT! He spouts off basically pretending he is coming up with amazing new ideas and theories, a few hits (that anyone can foresee) and he claims near prophet-hood, yet most of his nonsense that doesn't come to pass, he ignores. I know psychics who do better.
Today Beck was ranting and raving (like an immature second grader yelling liar liar pants on fire), about Obama "lying" to the American people because he promised he would not raise taxes on those who make under $250,000 a year, yet there is a new sales tax on cigarettes. OMG, the guy is crazy, seriously, SERIOUSLY crazy.

He's far more cogent than say, Michael Moore or Obama.

LOL. Glenn Beck is more cogent than Barack "magna cum laude Harvard Law" Obama?
I don't even know that Beck is less crazy than Michael Moore, and that guy's totally off the deep end, as far as I'm concerned.

Glen Beck is ranting and raving about the sky falling in however Moore is talking about serious things like health care and gun control. One only has to watch the episode by Stephen Cobert to see how silly Beck is. Also he was very derogatory of some victums of 9/11. Beck 's talking about organising tea parties. As a Mormon is he going to also organise Postum parties? What is wrong with universal health care. Most countries have it now and they were not going broke. If we did not have athat subprime issue a lot of the trouble would not be as bad as it is. Our banks are regulated and do not need bail-outs. A conservative government here instituted gun control.
