I took my ladybugs to see Seven Brides for Seven Brothers this summer and we loved it. The whole thing is adorable and the dancing was infectious. I want to learn that barn dance!

Nice post, Cinepro. I'm off to dinner, but I'll be thinkin' about my favorites and post some later.

I'm no good at "Best" lists. I never can make up my mind.

I do know this: Disney movies consistently have amazing scores. Many of them give me chills over and over again.

Mulan's score is breathtaking. Just lovely.

And Hunchback of Notre Dame? Amazing. Listen here.

Toy Story, anyone? To Infinity and Beyond!

The score to Pirates of the Caribbean makes me want to be Johnny Depp's wench. Okay, I want that without the music.

Wall-E. What else can I say but that I love that movie? Define Dancing

Disney movies flat out rock.

This was the most shockingly funny death scene I could think of.
I was the only person in the theater laughing though.

Meet Joe Black

I also found this youtube of the funniest death scenes from cheesy movies.

Now for death scenes that are not funny and make me cry like a baby: (if you don't cry in these movies, you have a heart of stone) Jenn Kamp

Terms of Endearment-Debra Winger's character is dying of cancer and she says goodbye to her boys

Steel Magnolias-the scene where the mother is holding her daughter's hand as she is taken off life support and then picks up the grandson. As a mother you hurt watching it. That music at the middle gets me every time.

I couldn't find the clip, but the scene during "Marley and Me" where the dog was put to sleep, I couldn't watch.

I completely agree, Seven. That death scene in Terms of Endearment is definitely heartbreaking. Breaks me up every time.

Oh, and one of my favorite books and movies as a little girl was Charlotte's Web. I always cried when Charlotte died, and I still do!

I couldn't find a clip of that scene, but I did find this one.

My favorite scores:

Gladiator would be my top pick.
That end scene is so powerful.

Slumdog Millionare-Latika's theme is a beautiful song
and Jai Ho

This movie has a beautiful love story but there are disturbing issues brought to light in it. You'll feel racked with guilt to be eating popcorn and candy during this film. I heard one guy on the radio say he felt like he couldn't go on with his life knowing this is happening to kids in India.

Braveheart

Titanic
(best kiss scene too)
I saw that movie on a huge screen in LA and it felt like we were flying at this scene too.

I think this is really cool-
Celine Dion went in to meet composer James Horner for the first time so he could hear her (test out) sing the song "My heart will go on." They ended up using her very first trial run on the soundtrack. It was her first time even practicing the song and she nailed it. If you have the soundtrack it's a much softer and beautiful version than the one released on her album. She's amazing.

Legends of the Fall
(the movie had a cheesy feeling to it though)

*Steel Magnolias and Terms of Endearment also have beautiful scores

I love that book and movie. I cried so hard in the theater after Charlotte died and my husband couldn't believe it. (especially since I am terrified of spiders) I was pregnant at the time and wondered if maybe the hormones were getting to me since nobody around me was upset by it. I'm glad it's not just me. My kids were watching it a few weeks ago and I got all choked up just listening to it.

I can't imagine how the guy took the fall at 1:34. My back hurts just looking at it.
