Are you happy as hell with ur life? Then why the efff do you need a midlife crisis?

Remember when you were a kid you had those mature responsible adults you looked up to. The guys who were dependable and strong and you could look up to?

At middle age your supposed to be that guy. It can be overwhelming.

Im not justifying some untoward action. Im just saying sometimes you need an area in your life where you can be a little childish.

Need not be.

Here in Hawaii, extended family connections sort of spread the "adult"
responsibility around.

The 50 year old man may be the son of the 75 year old matron -- and
it's OK to take the day off -- go fishing -- eat a shaved-ice cone -- see
a movie -- drink a few too many beers.

Somehow, it all works out -- most of the time.

Pardon me, while I go back to my coloring book and Spiderman action
figures -- all this computer stuff gives me a headache.

I think being a real adult also means knowing how and when to play. Whats the old Joseph quote bout leaving a bow strung up too long?

Perhaps the midlife crisis is the bow strung to long finally snapping in an unreasonable fashion, lol.

Takes a while -- to get over worrying what people might think of you.

Of course, it's generally a good choice to pay your debts, live up to your
true responsibilities, and all of that other "adult" stuff.

I try make a game out of it -- unless something truly serious comes
along, demanding an "adult's" attention.

Still a bit difficult to keep my eyes off the gals practicing their hula down
at the beach -- but I make a reasonable attempt, most of the time.

Because I'm not happy as hell with "myr" life.

A friend of mine turned 50 a few years ago. She was divorced, her two daughters were adults. She couldn't decide what would suit her midlife crisis better... a Harley or a 20 year old. She went with the Harley, because the 20 year old would no doubt follow.

Maybe you need a Harley, Shades.
