I haven't actually started reading the book yet, but spoilers have never bothered me. This thread is for open discussion of the book...spoilers are OK.

Shades--I suggest you stay away from this thread until you're through reading the book.

Disappointingly anti-climactic. Prevention of the destruction of our country really rested on the CIA preventing a masonic video of the leaders of our country getting out? Really? That's what I was being held in suspense about?

Just started reading... (had to wait until it was my turn), LOL!

Ahhh... I didn't realize IONS was part of the story! I've been a very active member in IONS for years and years! We have some AMAZING, I mean seriously amazing speakers, scholars, activities, and events!

IONS, is one the best organizations of which I am a part! Talk about enlightening, thought provoking, world-view expanding, and altogether inspiring, IONS is it!

Fun stuff!

I finished it a week before last.

TBSkeptic made a good point. The video might cause an uproar and force some resignations, but beyond that, who cares? Good riddance.

I, too, thought it was disappointingly anti-Climactic. The lost "word," the symbol of power, is the freakin' Bible?? Who the Hell cares?

Of the three books in the Robert Langdon triad, I thought this was the weakest one. Unlike the other two, the only mystical historic item was the pyramid itself. It wasn't a real-life place or thing that you can go and see like all the items in The DaVinci Code and Angels & Demons.

Still a good book, though, compared to the other fare out there.
