Festivus- The holiday for the rest of us http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Festivus

Airing of grievances and I'm not naming names:

1. Long posts that make me glaze over

2. External links with little explanation in the post of the content of the link (guilty as charged- see above link)

3. Frequent dialog concerning the masturbation activities of other posters- Get a life!

I suppose some other posters may choose for grievances the lack of smilies. While another may choose misspelled words or grammar errors (you know who you are) :-) And, maybe Shades could challenge someone to the Feats of Strength tradition. Maybe Jersey Girl could whip up a meatloaf for the Festivus meal. There will be no pole dancing on the Festivus pole. Besides, aluminum could be very painful. We'll need a Festivus Miracle too.

I guess this thread could turn out to be Festivus- the holiday for just me. I'm signing off now to get some much needed sleep.

Maybe you share my Festivus grievance of external links that have little explanation in the post. Just keep in mind that I posted the thread very late at night after my brain had fallen into slumber. I'm too invested to take the thread back.

a partial quote from the link provided above:

Feats of Strength
The Feats of Strength is the final tradition observed in the celebration of Festivus, celebrated immediately following (or in the case of "The Strike", during) the Festivus dinner. Traditionally, the head of the household selects one person at the Festivus celebration and challenges that person to a wrestling match.[8] The person may decline if they have something else to do, such as pull a double shift at work. Tradition states that Festivus is not over until the head of the household is pinned in a wrestling match.
