If you are taking it as a medicine it isn't a sin, if you are taking more than needed it might not be appropriate, but I'm sure you will judge or justify yourself on that one.

Frankly, I don't see why pot is illegal while alcohol is legal. Both are drugs. Alcohol impairs you much more on the road than pot does. I don't sanction driving under the influence of either...but, overall, pot is much less dangerous a drug than alcohol.
There are no "hangover" effects like there are with alcohol.
Also, marijuana is effective in eliminating nausea for cancer patients, pain in glaucoma patients, etc.
Too bad I still don't reside in California. I would vote for it. I hope it passes.

You do realize that pot is addictive right? For many it is impossible to use it in moderation. I also find your contention about increasing thinking power silly. Have you seen the burnt-out remnants of the drug culture, those so sure they were expanding their minds?

Is pot any more addictive than alcohol?

Legalizing something on the State level that is Illegal on the Federal level will never work. The Feds will hold prosecution over the head of those they catch when they want somthing.
Tobacco is much more addicting than marijuana and more dangerous to health.
Over time many pot users simply stop. Not so with tobacco.
If medical science finds the stuff work they should be able to prescribe it. Social norms and fear should not stand in the way of reality in treatment.
If it is legalized and taxed and The Feds can be kept out of it many jails and prisons in CA will benefit, law enforcement will have a lot more time and money to work on real crimes and the State will benefit.
