A decent fun flick. A fair attempt at meshing the ancient Greek gods with the modern world. Geared more towards the teen crowd. A blatant attempt to teach them basic Greek Mythology. Wish we could see more of Hades, more monsters, and other creatures etc. I had looked forward to seeing Uma Thurman as Medusa, but was slightly disappointed (not scary enough in stare mode).

Perhaps a tad too long for an anticlimactic ending. As usual, those who haven't read the book (like me) will probably appreciate it more for what it is. Stay after the first credits roll. Bring the young'uns but not the real little young'uns (scary monsters).

A sequel is already in production. I give it a 50/50 chance of remaining in production if that is going to be based on this movie's reception. See it on the big screen but perhaps wait for it to come to the "dollar" theaters.

5.5 out of 10. Am eagerly awaiting Clash of the Titans.

"That old guy sitting behind us said he and his wife were probably the only ones in the theater who know that cool new song." (re: AC/DC's Highway To Hell)

Thanks for the review, BC. This is one I've been meaning to see. It sounds like a good one to take my son to. He loves these types of movies.

I'm also looking forward to "Clash of the Titans". The special effects look really cool!

Has anyone heard anything about the new "Wolf Man" movie? It looks interesting to me, too.
