Okay, so FIL who is 84 is/was a Shriner. When he dies, I'm wondering what do we do with the fez? Is there a proper disposal for fezes of deceased shriners?

You know what, z? I have no idea what compelled you to reply with the above. The woman is asking a sincere and serious question regarding the proper disposal of the personal effects of a loved one.
Geez!

Buy an ounce of compassion, z. It's a personal possession of her aging FIL.

If it were me, I'd contact the local Shriner's and ask them about what to do.

I don't get the Shriners at all. What the Hell is the appeal of wearing a fez while riding around on a go-kart??

you're just kiddin' around, right Jersey Girl? i personally had a good laugh when i saw this title. the shriners, albeit a respected charitable organization, is a brotherhood, not a religion. a fez is not a sacred article of clothing.
am i just bad a catching facetiousness in print? :)
