I think the reason I don't feel the same way you do is because I feel like they really are genuine in their "niceness" and not just putting on a show for the cameras. The world needs nice people and its good that the Duggars are providing half that population! ;P
However, this doesn't mean I agree with some of the views/opinions/beliefs that they have expressed (such as "forbidden dancing" to avoid sexual temptation). And they aren't pushing their beliefs on anyone else, so I'd give the show positive feedback. The show is interesting as an insight (it makes me glad I stopped at 3!)

I know some people think that the number of kids is some sort of selfish indulgence or something. I understand how one might think that, and to some degree I might even agree, I guess my official position is, "Jury out: still under contemplation".

So you would hate to have your premiums or tax dollars go to supporting their lifestyle choice? That's what Obamacare, and previously all insurance mandates, does. I don't know much if anything at all about the Duggars, but it seems likely their kids will grow up to being productive tax paying citizens. You welfare types should love that.

I don't consider it good parenting to invite people with cameras into your house to document the lives of you and your children, at least not on such a continual basis. If they wanted to do 'A week in the life of....' type thing that's fine but weeks of continuous scrutiny. That's gotta mess with your kids' minds after a while.
