I was just taking a break from shopping online ;-) and saw this post...
In my neck of the woods, Mother's Day is being scheduled for next Sunday. And why? Because my neck of the woods will be snowed upon and not ready for the planting extravaganza that I have in mind!
Thanks, Liz! And Happy Mother's Day to you!

I hear ya, sister... about the planting, I mean. We started yesterday and will continue on Monday. I hurt so bad I can hardly breathe, but we made progress on getting this place into shape... especially after the 100 mph winds we had earlier in the week. Ripped the heck out of my shingles and shed, let me tell ya!

Nice, harm! My M'day always comes a week later than the rest of the world, since we're still subject to snow. Right now it's a roller coaster ride until blessed sunshine and even next week is pushing it! But I can't wait for planting much longer than that!
Happy Mother's Day to you, harm!

I would like to express my best wishes love and respect to first my own mother. Next I would like to express my undying love and deep felt care for the woman who bore my children, my dear sweet bride of almost 29 years. I do not know what I would do with out her.
Next to my Mother in law for raising such a beautiful woman.
And now to all the mothers who post here on this board. May your mothers day be a wonderful happy time I hope of mostly joy and reflection...even though we all know that kids can sometimes be a major pain in the fanny. But they usually end up so worth the effort. Thanks for all your motherly efforts!

Yes, mothers deserve to be honored. It's no easy chore. The women on this board are really cool. They are smart too. Women are almost as smart as men! ;-)

I'm looking for ideas for breakfast for my wife. She likes everything. I'm going to run to the store later tonight and I'd appreciate any great ideas for a wonderful, memorable breakfast.
I'm considering the Apple Puff Pancake

I don't know about breakfast, I usually am content with honeynut cheerios or a slimfast, but my all time favorite dessert is
olive garden's lemon cream cake! YUM! If my dear husband made me that for mother's day. . . great shall be his "reward"! ;P
