Kahlil Gibran anyone?
I'm reading "The Treasured Writings of Kahlil Gibran" A very thick book of poems and short stories. Very good, especially his writings about religious hypocrisy.

I enjoyed reading a number of Gibran's short books in the 70's and yes it was true about their usefulness.

He was deeply Christian, yet very angry at the abuse of religion. Good stuff.

I first read Kahlil Gibran the Lebanese/American poet, pholosopher
way back in the 1960's.
Still have his book The Prophet.
Oh happy days, when my father despaired at my then long hair and loon pants with flares.
His books convey a lot of wisdom! Kahlil's books that is, not my father's.

Jonathan Livingston Segal(wrongly spelled seagull to tone down the violence) and his cousin Steven Segal could beat up Gibran.

Much prefer the philosophical mind of Gibran.
Don't fancy a Seagull crapping all over the place.
Mucky birds.!
