Should we send out e-mails asking the inactives to either resign or start posting?

Oh, we hit 1,000 members a long time ago. I've just been going through and deleting the members who have never posted, from oldest to newest, in order to eliminate any chance of spam-bot registrations slipping through the cracks.

So whenever we get, say, two new members, then I go through and eliminate the two oldest never-posters to keep the number at exactly 1,000.

Or so the TBM's would like to think.

That makes sense. Wondered why it had been hovering near that number for so long.

You've made at least one post, so you have no chance of being deleted.

Oh no, so my sockpuppet may go the way of lost socks. Sock Hell as my DH once called where all lost socks go.

Wouldn't it look better to keep the user names on file for 110 years?

Well, it would certainly inflate our numbers and artificially make it look like we were "the fastest-growing message board."
