I know it might take more effort for all of ye lazy laughers out there, but just take the extra second to paste the quote and link! And I’m sure Shades will appreciate it, instead of seeing me LOLling around the board at everything!

Certainly a little harsh on my part. I sincerely apologize to Emma. Upon reflection, I would merely say she was an emotionally volatile, high-maintenance woman who would have been a royal pain in the ass to deal with as a wife, and I admire Joseph Smith all the more for having put up with her all those years.

I think I've just about reached my level of tolerance for this place. I didn't think it was possible, but somehow it has sunk to lows never seen before.

Isn't it simply because there is no easy answer?

If you were a believer in Joseph Smith, how would you answer the questions about his character? If there was a non-verbose answer available, they would have used it by now. I guess these non-verbose answered have been used, actually. These are:

1. Don't worry about it
2. We don't know
3. It wasn't his fault, it was God's

I suppose "he was a lying adulterer who had such little regard for his prophetic mantle that he dropped it in the straw along with his pants" doesn't work, huh...
