Favorite 19th century authors:

Post by _karl61 »

Blixa mentioned authors: I was thinking about some books that I liked.

I recently re read Red Badge of Courage and really liked it so I will go with Steven Crane.

I read Les Miserables about a year ago. One part at the end had me putting down the book and started to cry. (was going to list the part but decided against in case someone hasn't read it yet) so Victor Hugo is another one. But I tried reading Hunch Back of Notre Dame right after and couldn't get into it. I will retry later.

I like Crane's poetry a lot. Twain is probably my favorite 19th century writer.
