UPDATE: Meghan McCain responded to Glenn Beck's mockery of her in a Thursday column for the Daily Beast.

"Clearly you have a problem with me, and possibly women in general, but the truth is, it’s 2011 and I heard your show on Fox was canceled," McCain wrote. "Isn’t that an indication that the era of the shock jock pundit is over?...There really is no need to make something like my participation in a skin cancer PSA into a sexist rant about my weight and physical appearance, because I’m going to let you in on a little secret, Glenn: you are the only one who looks bad in this scenario, and at the end of the day you have helped me generate publicity for my skin cancer PSA, a cause that I feel quite passionate about."

ORIGINAL STORY: Cindy McCain lashed out at Glenn Beck after he mimed vomiting over her daughter Meghan's recent skin cancer PSA.

McCain was only one of the women featured in the ad, which compared not wearing sunscreen to being naked, and which showed McCain seemingly naked.

On Beck's Wednesday show, he and his co-hosts spent over eight minutes mocking McCain. Beck pretended to vomit repeatedly (with detailed sound effects) while looking at McCain's ad or even hearing her name.

"Put some extra clothes on," he said. "Like, lots of extra clothes...has she thought about a burqa, just to be extra safe?"

McCain's mother, who has suffered from skin cancer, was not happy, and she fired off this tweet on Wednesday afternoon:

That fake vomit routine on Glenn Beck's part was truly disgusting. Want to get grossed out? Watch Glenn's clip on the above link. Every time Glenn poured the water cup into the waste basket to give the sound effect of vomiting, it sounded more like his career being dumped out.

I don't really consider it "immoral".... But I do consider it very inappropriate, thus completely fair game to make fun of. Public act, expect public ridicule.

Again I repeat.... YOU and yours would willingly degrade any conservative you hate for doing the same thing, being naked on TV, and "I" nor any other conservative wouldn't fault you for it. We would understand that your reaction was perfectly reasonable.

You however can't give us the same deference. That tells us you are a hypocrite, and without actual values and character, for your judgment of others if fleeting and without standards other than you own relative biases. You judge us because the McCain's, especially Megan McCain is slightly liberal, and you judge us because you like public sexuality, and you judge us because they were critical of a conservative. So, don't pretend you are on some sort of moral high-ground that it was somehow so terrible and "Un-Christian" for someone to make a joke about someone who runs around naked in public.

I mean, I'm all against inappropriate jokes, but this you are stretching to the limit, and absence of reason and fairness. You only like it because it's against a conservative, not because an actual "wrong" was done. But, nothing new with liberals. You judge us for even the most innocuous things, even usually falsely, such as the racism charges, but then your side state and do way more terrible things and get a pass, whereas if a conservative did it, the world would have ended and it would be a media storm. Your side tolerates way greater evil than we do, tolerating your own, but not tolerating ours, even the slight appearance of it. For example, who cares, Reverend Wright, Bill Ayers, the current Preacher, and all the other slimy radicals the left/Obama embraces.... All okay, but heavens forbid a conservative pretends to throw up when a woman publicly goes naked. Another example.... The wars.... Bush etc. evil, but nary a word about the evils of fanatical Islam who's trying to take over and destroy everything we value.

Liberal values are misplaced.... You need to get a clue.

No you wouldn't, you just think you would. I've seen your kind "laugh" and make jokes all the time about conservatives. So, don't lie because you've been caught. So, you're telling me you've said nothing yourself nor cheered anything said about Sarah Palin, her daughter, etc. etc.??? Further, they haven't went around naked.... and if they had, you're telling me you wouldn't "laugh"? Please....

Further, it was a joke.... Glenn Beck is an entertainer, a person who does jokes, not only discussing serious issues. Thus, in the context of his show, it was a perfectly reasonable thing to have done.

This issue is no different than the liberal out of context quoting of Rush's Chinese Speech imitation when the Prime Minister was here. I was actually listening to that show, and what he did was perfectly reasonable in the context of his entertainment. But, taking his actions out of context, liberals like you portray it as if he did something "terrible". Of course, that same night, no liberal cried when Ashton Kutcher and a late night talk show host immitated Japanese..... Joking is joking.... Learn the difference between that and acutal inappropriate degrading of others.

Of course, you seem to know the difference when a liberal does it "reasonably".... That means your being "offended" now, is political based, not based on something that was actually offensive.

1) She didn't pose naked.
2) Your morality is exactly backwards. Showing some skin for a good cause isn't going to hurt anyone, and it might help a lot of people in this case
