What kind of rum?

Hey, what kind of rum would you buy to make strawberry daiquiri's?

Light rum.
You can also make non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiris that are fun for kids and non-drinkers.

I have had them with both dark spiced rum and white rum.
My friend in Windsor, uses two jiggers of rum per glass, but I guess it's all down to taste, and as I have never been sure what a 'jigger' is, I make them to my own taste.
Most people seem to use white rum in the UK. Also, if you wish to make them for teenagers, you can replace the real rum with rum essence.
