Hi,

To any LDS members here that have posted at CARM and been attacked "beyond the line." I'm sorry.

I have heard CARM is a rough and tumble place. Do they really throw initiates into the arena and force them to run a gantlet while senior Christians beat on them mercilessly before they can be a true journeyman in the approved Christian Guild of Penitence and Checklists?

Are you a moderator there or something?

I accept your apology. Let me know when the rules aren't stacked against Mormons, when CARM is ready to expose their membership to the real deal to see if they can handle it, and I will be happy to post there again.

The rules limiting references are especially egregious.

And so is the function that autmatically links scripture references to an online Bible. It should not link to any Bible or we should be allowed to link it to any Bible version we choose, such as the King James. The one linked to tends to minimize or downplay anything that might support the LDS Church and it speaks to the fact that the Bible is not necessarily translated correctly.

...or that LDS exegisis is off.

Markk...I checked out the RC forums there for a short time. It's a very strange place. I thought it would be interesting to participate in the Bible study, but RCs aren't welcome there. So, nothing of interest for me at the CARM forum. I do like some of the Christian apologetic papers that are outside of the forum.

Hi BC,

It's pretty tough there. For all the years I was at FAIR, I was treated better by "most" LDS members than LDS members that stumble in at CARM are treated by Christians there. Allot of the folks at CARM are like Julieann and Parhona ( or what ever his name is) just blind hacks. The moderation is worse ( and that's saying alot) and clicky. I have been warned twice for sticking up for LDS members that have been called names.

Thanks for accepting my apology, I mean it.

Mark

In reality, there are alot of "Joseph's" and "Simons." Does that make sense?

You're welcome. However, in Juliann's and Pahoran's defense, the "christians" at CARM are nothing like them at all; having little against those two myself.

I had been called every name in the book at fair, even a "urine bag,"Juliann and Pahoran have chips on their shoulders and could not defend LDS doctrine one iota, and when they say something stupid they have you suspended or banned...they are pretty offense B/C, you have to admit that, like many at CARM.
