Ask a transexual

I have made lots of Mormon friends in the city where I live and have decided that the Mormon church in general has never had the oppertunity to speak to anyone that isn't in the Mormon church. So I wanted to come on here and give you oppertunity to auctually ask questions about transgender issues.

P.S. This isn't Jerry Springer there are no "tranny's" here if you want that you have issues.

I believe you mean trannies & what is wrong with them? Appears you have issues yourself.

Yeah, of course I knew that that was your "issue". That's why I couldn't resist jerking your chain a little. ^_~

I just hate that the first thing people think about when they hear about transexuals is Jerry springer.

Quite understadable. There is no respect for the Jerry Springer Show here, on the other hand there are some beautiful transgenders on the outside and inside who have chosen the porn industry for their income. And there are some who refer to themselves, and are proud of the term Shemale, I respect that also.

I just thought I would make this cause I really like the people in the Mormon church and would join, but I wouldn't be able to live if I thought I had to be a boy again. I love who I am now, and for the first time in my life I don't think about suicide when I wake up in the morning. I figure if I haven't gotten more responces that it's a wash I always heard that if there's no big surge in 24 hours give up and move on. ;)

I guess it's hard to know what to ask. And the truth is, there aren't very many believing Mormon's on this forum. A lot of us have stopped believing in the church and are in varying degrees of leaving it.

The church teaches that our spirits are boys or girls and that we will always be a male or a female. It can't even address the fact of intersex babies. It really isn't a place for anyone who is outside the hetersexual male or female box.

We actually had a question about transexuals in chat a few days ago. It is something you wouldn't probably ask someone because it is a very personal question. I honestly don't know if I feel it is appropriate to ask. I guess I could ask and you can let me know if I need to go fly a kite or whatnot.

We were wondering what reasons a transexual individual might have for not completing the physical tranformation. In other words, why some choose to keep certain aspects of their previous sex.

We could think of a few like lack of funds for the procedure or due to the difficulty of the surgeries. I guess we wondered if some transexuals feel that a complete change of equipment is not necessary for them to feel right.

Not seeing what the possible the appeal of "The Church" to you could be. There are good people in & of most religious persuasions. Not what I would consider a valid basis for selecting a religion to join.

Are you aware that a sex change operation equals excommunication in this religion? Enlightened beings the leaders of this church are not. Furthermore, can you really get your mind wrapped around and believe the true history of the Americas came from a guy peering at a magic rock in a hat?
