David Axelrod says Romney debate performance was "robotic"

As far as I'm concerned that's just a code work for "cult-like". I can well remember people who knew I was a Mormon telling others that my eyes looked like I was a member of a cult. Actually, I was bored with them, but it does seem to me this is the picture they will try to paint of Romney as we go further into the campaign.

Romney reminds me more of a department store mannequin than a robot.

From what I've read the consensus seems to be that this was Romney's most organic debate yet.

That's an interesting point. One that, I would assume, only a Mormon (or ex-mormon) could bring up. Let's see how this develops.

Me too, plastic smile and all. But Perry and Obama are even more stuffed shirt-like than Romney.

Romney has his own personality and it may be lacking in excitement. But that is him. Not Mormonism. We are all different. Orin Hatch has a personality different from Romney. The same with good ol' Mo Udall of yesteryear. Romney did not become a successful businessman by being a robot who is in a cult. He became successful by his smarts, regardless of his personality.

David Axelrod is an idiot as well as a political hack. And he ought to look in the mirror before he accuses anyone of acting or looking bad.

Well, Romney comes off plastic and Obama comes off like a stuffy professor. I haven't seen video of Perry.
