Review: The Help

A little bit of the erroneous notion that all blacks are good, all whites are obtuse, and only a "liberated" liberal can delve into the subject at hand but it's barely detectable. Take a break from your sci fi and fantasy flicks (my favorite genres) and see this movie or rent it when it comes out. Having grown up with southern black culture, I can honestly say it's well worth it. Funny, sad, and quite poignant.
I would have rated it PG and not PG-13. Adult topics discussed like getting pregnant. Some clevage. A minor but important scatological sub-plot (yes, you read that correctly). No cussing except the 's' word to refer to said sub-plot. That's it.
Add this movie to your erudite record of thinking movies seen.
