So..... An investment group that helped a lot of businesses grow and create jobs, and the fact that "some" of them failed is somehow Romney AND Mormonism at that fault and them "screwing the little people"?

You do understand that it's an "investment group"??? They don't make money unless the businesses they invest in makes money. Thus, that means they were successful. Further, Romney wouldn't have been picked to turn around the Olympics unless he was good at his job, that is by making things succeed.

Romney 1,000 times more helped the so-called little people, in contrast to screwing them.

But it depends upon how you define success, doesn't it? If the success criteria was "maximize profits" then sure he was successful. If the success criteria was "make a reasonable profit without screwing the little people", then perhaps not.

Corporations (investment groups) are in business to make money. Usually by consolidating two or more companies and laying off the redundant personnel or finding contract people in other countries to do the work and laying off domestic personnel. This is how Romney made a lot of his money.

If you don't understand this, you don't know much about business.

Actually, I happen to know a LOT about business. I spent several years setting up LLC's, Corporations, and DBA's in all 50 States & DC for Domestic and International clients.

It is you who don't know business, because what you stated is false.
Yes, there is a "section" of business people who do what you have stated, but first it's a VERY SMALL part of business, and secondly the most important part, it's not at all what Romney and his Investment Group did. Thus, you are what's called a LIAR.

Here is what the article claims Romney's company did:

GAFFNEY, S.C. (AP) - More than two decades ago, Mitt Romney's business venture came to town with a bounty of highly anticipated manufacturing jobs. The new plant, just past the gas station off Interstate 85, needed skilled workers to churn out thousands of photo albums.

Four years later, the Holson Burnes Group Inc. _ the company controlled by Romney's Bain Capital LLC _ closed the factory and laid off about 150 workers. Some jobs were sent north, where months later many of those were also eliminated. Other operations went overseas.

But Bain walked away with millions in profits.

A review by The Associated Press of financial and regulatory documents in the case of Holson Burnes contrasts with statements Romney has made during his presidential campaign about his success creating jobs in the private sector. It shows how Bain, then headed by Romney, wrung profits out of the company by slashing costs and trimming its work force.

I'm not aware of Romney taking out a lawsuit against them for telling lies...

People misrepresent the truth and facts all the time, just like you all do toward Mormonism.

Public people and entities can't really sue anyone for lying, otherwise in the case of politics half the country would have to be sued.

The Devil is a busy little beaver perverting the truth with the gullible masses.

Rebutting every point by calling your opponent a liar under the influence of Satan isn't the most effective strategy. Perhaps you should try reason instead. Just a thought.

It works quite well as a way of 'warning off' the people ldsfaqs is trying to influence, who are, I suspect, any innocent TBMs who may be browsing this board and are as yet unaware how dangerous it could be for their testimonies.

Investment groups often make their money by acquiring undervalued companies and making them more profitable by reducing expenditures. The fastest and easiest way to do that is by reducing staff. Often, these companies will be resold at a higher price before the damage done by operating "understaffed" becomes evident (market loss). It happens every day.

If you're someone who "knows a LOT about business", it's odd that I would have to explain that to you. It's common knowledge and common practice.

No, ldsfaqs (maybe ldsfiction), I'm not a LIAR. You throw that word around like an adolescent angry at his parents. It's kind of childish and makes you sound unwise.
