New to the Board

Just wanted to introduce myself. I've been a long time lurker but I would like to start contributing to some of the discussions here. I've been LDS for over thirty-five years (convert). I've served in many church leadership callings, still active, but I've been becoming more and more of a NOM as time has gone on. I'm very leery of some of the LDS apologia (esp. Book of Abraham) and I am just left of center when it comes to politics. I'm sure I'll get into more details as things progress.
I know this forum can be rough and tumble sometimes and though I'm registered under a pseudonym I promise to keep my comments within civil parameters and treat everyone with respect (I hope to receive the same). I have no problem dealing with differing points of view on LDS topics or politics. I'll do my best to focus on the arguments and I'll try to avoid snarky and ad hominem remarks like the plague.
I look forward to participating on this board.
