There is a hierarchy here at DiscussMormonism.com. It is beyond an unspoken organization. It is now spoken and defended.

The core group of critics are those that have been breaking one off in Dan's ass and Lou's ass for decades now. They have a hell of club. They are very smart. They are respected. They are thorough. They stick up for each other. They congratulate each other. They make sure that the defenses and criticisms are mostly unchallenged and they do this by being thorough but also by protecting their group. There is a subsection of this group that publishes in their own real names, and, for the most part they are very well respected and thorough. There is a part of the group that may not publish books or regular video productions but may appear in forums, symposiums or groups such as Sunstone.

And then there are the enforcers. I would put Doc Cam, Icarus, Some Schmo, Gadianton and the core group of punishing bigots in this group. They are thanked and appreciated for keeping the critics out of here. They make the place damned miserable for anyone who is not an atta-boy backslapping cheerleader for the intellectual critics.

There are also the sacrificial servants. The pissboys as I call them. They just needle and poke and prod and bitch and moan and needle and poke and prod. They congratulate the important people and the enforcers and then call names and needle some more. "Troll!" "He said you are a Trumpist!" "He said you are a Right wing, antivaxxer, Nazi. Look at this picture."

So what is the point of this cultish organization here? What do you y'all get out of it. And why the “F” it is it so important to prove that Dan Peterson and Lou are so wrong, and also prove that Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden are so right? Why such hard damned lines on this? I can understand the shared interests in discussing the apologists and nuances of what is going on with your shared heritage, including the shared past beliefs in something as kooky as the Book of Mormon, the Papyrus fraud fiasco, alleged maps and Mormon History explanations. I get that and I appreciate it.

But why? Why also organize what you have in common around hatred and bigotry toward anyone that owns a small business or did an apprenticeship in a the electrician union instead of going to Harvard Law, becoming a surgeon or wearing a pussy hat on inauguration day? Why do you brag about poking people in the eye, as if you actually did that (literally) or as if that is a good thing (metaphorically)?

I will get bored and leave. Atlanticmike will eventually leave. Many others have left. You think that is a victory - and to you, it is a victory. The reason you don't understand the attraction, which differs from person to person, is that you've been too busy slapping inaccurate and stereotyped labels on people and spending zero time trying to get to know folks here and to understand their point of view. If you're not interested enough to put forth the necessary effort to understand, I don't have time to waste trying to explain things to you. Of course you'll get bored. Your whole schtick here is boring, even to you. You get out of any conversation what you put into it, and what you've put in here is 99% crap.

I am sure you noticed already, I am shooting the middle finger at stereotypes and labels. But do not let the facts get in the way of your argument, counselor.

Perhaps the reason so many people get you "wrong" is that you have a delusional view of yourself. One has only to read your OP to observe your total reliance on stereotypes. Maybe you can fool yourself indefinitely, but you can't fool people who pay attention to your behavior.
