Shameless Plug

A shameless plug.

My good friend and fellow author, Michael Wallace, has successfully crossed over to the dark side. By that I mean he is no longer a self-published author, having attained the representation of a bona fide literary agency, that of Thomas & Mercer. Those of you in need of an entertaining read would do well to check out his offerings on Amazon dot com. Or if you’d rather not rely solely on my recommendation, here are excerpts from the latest negative reviews of Michael Wallace’s THE RIGHTEOUS.

Why post excerpts from negative reviews? Two reasons, the first being that negative reviews are so much more entertaining than positive reviews, even more so when the reviewer hasn’t even read the book in question. The second reason has to do with my own warped and twisted sense of humor…I’m sure Mike will understand. :)

So c’mon you guys, how can you honestly resist a book that is…

“…creepy…”

“…disturbing…”

“Blasphemous, disgusting, and offensive!”

“Too many references to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Satinsts (The Mormons) who do not condone or practice polygamy -- the photo on the cover of both books is of LDS tabernacles and temples.”

“It was too 'slutty' for my taste; talking about panties, describing her naked boyfriend getting shot to death in bed next to her, his erection, etc. Yuck. Don't need to fill my mind with any more of that than 1 chapter.”

“I know it is a work of fiction...but at least the questions for discussion at the end could have included one on the ethics of using women as ‘breeding-stock’.”

“Most sickening and offensive book I have ever read. It will be permanently removed from my Kindle. It is obvious that the writer is a disgruntled and vindictive former member of the cult in question, perhaps one of the "Lost Boys.”
