George Zimmerman: "Head Wound" Photos and Methamphetamine

I've been asked to write on this topic elsewhere and in doing a review of developments in the case I was very surprised to find the following:
CBS wrote:The court documents also show that prior to the shooting, Zimmerman had received prescriptions for
Adderall and Temazepam, which have been shown to cause agitation and mood swings, though in less than 10 percent of consumers.
The report also shows Zimmerman said he felt stressed and "occasional nausea when thinking about the violence." Despite the head injuries, he wasn't diagnosed with a concussion. The doctor recommended that Zimmerman be evaluated by a psychologist.
Zimmerman declined being admitted to a hospital for treatment on the night of the shooting, according to the report. He didn't take his doctor's advice to schedule a later visit with an ear, nose and throat physician.
So Zimmerman was on Benzodiazepines and pharmaceutical grade methamphetamine. Holy smokes.
And then I saw this picture of Zimmerman taken a few hours after the second-degree murder. The photo is absent of any indication of a head wound or "wounds" and his face looks remarkably unmarked for someone who had to -- just hours before the photo -- exercise deadly force on a teenage boy.
Holy smokes.

Broken nose, black eyes, head wounds all seem to be confirmed now. Bloody knuckles on Trayvon. The evidence presented so far indicates that Trayvon physically assaulted Zimmerman and being told to "move along" is not a valid excuse. Zimmerman's case is looking very good indeed though one cannot always trust a judge and jury these days to make the right call. Of course there always could be, and usually are, bits of evidence that the general public doesn't hear about until the trial....

I'm glad bcspace came back and added to his one sentence reply about it being clear that Zimmerman had been assaulted.
Clearly, from the picture, there is no blood, gashes, signs of a broken nose, or even signs of a violent struggle to be seen.
Also, Zimmerman was referred to a mental health professional and not treated for the injuries his attorney announced he sustained.
Things are not looking good for Zimmerman and his fans.

That Trayvon's knuckles were cut is now being purged from the mainstream media but remains on the autopsy report which will of course be used in court. The mainstream media (ABC in this case) is still admitting that:
"The medical notes may bolster Zimmerman's claim that he acted in self-defense because he was being attacked."

Did they mention anything about the bullet hole in Trayvon's body?

Exactly. The spirit of "stand your ground" would seem to give you permission to punch somebody who is coming after you with a gun.

Actually, a CBS legal analyst (
article cited in the OP) said:
"The medical notes
may bolster Zimmerman's claim that he acted in self-defense because he was being attacked."
*emphasis mineThe medical records released this week indicate that:
1. Zimmerman was taking benzodiazepines and pharmaceutical grade methamphetamine.
2. Zimmerman was not treated for a concussion or other "head wounds" and was referred to a psychologist.
3. Zimmerman was not admitted to a hospital, did not see an ears, nose and throat doctor, and admitted that he felt "occasional nausea when thinking about the violence."
The
same CBS legal analyst said that "the medical report's revelations, while not good for the prosecution,
don't exactly torpedo their case."
*emphasis mineCBS wrote:Here's what you're going to get: I'm sure the prosecution is going to say, 'Hey, you know what this shows? This shows that Trayvon Martin was fighting for his life because he was attacked by George Zimmerman here,'" said Ford, "and the defense is going to say, 'That's not so at all, and we've got the medical testimony to show it.
Again, I think this picture really captures the kind of beating Zimmerman took the night he killed a teenage boy:

Did they mention anything about the bullet hole in Trayvon's body?
Of course. The question is whether or not it was justified under the law. Apparently is was.
WFTV has learned that the medical examiner found two injuries on Martin’s body: The fatal gunshot wound
and broken skin on his knuckles.
When you compare Trayvon’s non-fatal injury with Zimmerman's bloody head wounds, the autopsy evidence is better for the defense, Sheaffer said.
“
It goes along with Zimmerman's story that he acted in self-defense, because he was getting beaten up by Trayvon Martin,” Sheaffer said.
The injury to Martin’s knuckle also fits with Zimmerman's story
that before he shot and killed Martin, Martin had broken his nose and knocked him to the ground, slamming his head on the sidewalk.

Case closed.

I could be wrong but that sure doesn't look like a picture of a broken nose or two black eyes.

Yes. But it destroys your OP. Such news was long ago discredited which means you don't keep up or you can't accept the facts.
