Seven of the victims were taken to the hospital including two children who were Med-Flighted to Boston.

The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. on Dodge Road Tuesday evening.

The explosion occurred on the back porch and the home was on fire when police and fire crews arrived. Police say a large amount of fireworks were found inside and around the home.

The owner of the home, Chris Pappathan, is an insurance executive. Neighbors say Pappathan has a big fireworks show every year.

This is a Mendon Utah sacrament meeting on a July day in 1940. It has nothing to do with Independence Day, but I just really like it.
