The Convention Bump Thread

In the modern era of televised national party conventions, the candidate of each party has received a bounce in polling that has gradually dissipated over the following weeks. The bounce is significant. Because recent conventions have happened much closer than those in the past, those polling bounces have overlapped and by and large canceled each other out in relatively short order.
Since the Republicans go first this time around, you will see a quick, lagging spike in Romney's polling after the convention. Because of where the polling is likely to be at prior to this bounce, that means he'll enjoy a temporary decent lead. This will most likely evaporate as Obama enjoys his own bounce a little later.
But, given the pattern of a few posters here - BCSpace and Brakite most notably - I'm going to go ahead and assume that they will use those fleeting polls where Romney is doing awesome as a platform to sound the trumpets of triumph. So, they can use this thread for that. All hail the unstoppable juggernaught of Romentum!
