Once upon a time, I've read a scifi novel, about that time machine.
The plot: Political parties and churches unanimously protested against its usage. All secret meetings of parties, and all sacred meetings of religions could have been overheard.
Especially the circumstances of their foundations...
- Whenever a poet or preacher, chief or wizard spouts gibberish, the human race spends centuries deciphering the message. - Umberto Eco - To assert that the earth revolves around the sun is as erroneous as to claim that Jesus was not born of a virgin. - Cardinal Bellarmine at the trial of Galilei
Would be interesting. What would you time travel to see?
Parting of the Red Sea? Giving of the Ten Commandments? Rolling back the stone from the tomb? Council of Nicea? The finding of the golden plates?
Where was O.J. was that night?
My favorite time travel concept came from Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, by Douglas Adams. In it, a man cannot figure out how to program his VCR, so he invents time travel so he can go back and watch his favorite programs.
"The great problem of any civilization is how to rejuvenate itself without rebarbarization." - Will Durant "We've kept more promises than we've even made" - Donald Trump "Of what meaning is the world without mind? The question cannot exist." - Edwin Land
I'm think a quick trip back to December 25th 0000 would solve some personal dilemmas once and for all...

OJ is a jerkwater murderer. Twelve is a dozen. Don't care. Douglas Adams is one of my liked writer, he wrote fictions, nothing to check.
The Bible events? Yes. And many other works which call themselves history, but are unambiguously fictions. The secret and sacred meetings...

I'd sight see for twelve months, take in the Pyramids, the Great Flood water park, ask around about Laban's murder, attend the odd camel race etc. And set up a fast food outlet and quick stop motel in Bethlehem.
