So he admits he is Liberal sometimes. So according to you he has a mental disorder, right?

The Best of Dennis Miller took place during his HBO series during the 90's. Although Clinton was President at the time Miller spent most of his time eviscerating Bush, Gingrich, Dole and the rest of the Republican wrecking crew in Congress. In his standup from Washington D.C. back in 1985, he slammed Reagan left and right in his typical hilarious fashion.

Miller became a FOX News favorite when he started defending George Bush for going to war. But he is still very Liberal on most issues, and folks like Hannity tend to cut him off when he tries to explain that part.

I was a huge fan of his for YEARS, so I have quite a few lines memorized.

"Reagan is going to be 75 this year? Seventy-five and he has access to the button? My grandfather is 75, and we won't even let him have the remote control."

"He didn't inhale? I want a President who gets high!"

"Dole and Gingrich wear blue ribbons to remind themselves to screw the poor."

Not according to the examples he gave. For example, I don't mind if gays marry and I also accept some exceptions for abortion.

If you had any familiarity with Miller you'd know he is far more Liberal on socio-economic issues than your typical "conservative." But he admits he is Liberal. Leave it to you to say he isn't really.

I remember he used to grill Reagan for the deficit he was constructing. He'd also talk about how these old white men Republicans tended to elect, were just out of touch with modern times. i.e. aren't "progressive" enough to handle the job.

Miller is struggling to maintain an audience as well as relevancy. He's already sold his soul by letting FOX News use him on occasion, so he has to at least keep up appearances. He's just jumping on the anti-Obama bandwagon which is always going to draw the usual Right Wing bigots to applause. Comedians typically attack the guy in office no matter who is he anyway. But he was amazingly generous with Clinton. He never attacked his policies, but always made fun of his sex life instead.

O'REILLY: Michael Moore got very angry at CNN for telling the folks that his documentary is not quite on the level. Now, is this a stunner for anyone? He wants us all to buy into the Cuban health care system. I've got my beret, how about you? You ready to go with the Cuban health system?

MILLER: Well, listen, all I'll tell you is if you go to a nationalized health care system and this guy is going to have enough fodder for another documentary that will be twice as long and twice as ostensibly heartbreaking as the one he just made. I mean, I don't think that's anything we have to aspire to.

Funny how Miller avoided the question altogether. Gee, wonder why. Why not slam universal healthcare if you're such an anti-progressive?

The fact is Miller's views "changed" mostly after he was losing jobs at HBO and Monday Night Football, and so Fox News took him under their wing. But even as a FOX News regular, he still won't jump up and defend the ultra conservative principles you so cherish. All he's really done is offer vague criticisms of the guy they hate so much and his income has increased as a result because it gives him a larger fan base with the millions of idiots who watch FOX religiously.

The caller in the OP accused him of hating Democrats. I only accuse him of just being a capitalist looking out for his own interests. His income is based on an audience, and since he was taking financial hits relying strictly on comedy, he started to move towards politics and followed the current that was attracting a larger audience. FOX News made him relevant again, and so he had to reciprocate by being one of their silly little puppets. No surprise there really, but the fact that he won't flat out agree with O'Reilley and Hannity on some of the most popular Right Wing talking points speaks volumes in and of itself. "I'm not an across the board conservative" he once told Hannity with a concerned look on his face.

Miller is a regular on The O'Reilly Factor and the two even have a road show. I would love to see it. I like Miller and O'Reilly while he can be a loud mouth and get things wrong at times I think he is more reasonable than most the commentators on Fox.

I used to think the same way of O'Reilly, but not anymore. He is a pathological liar and a despicable human being.

But I admit I haven't heard from or seen anything from Miller in years. It seems FOX News is the only way he can get on TV anymore, and I've placed channel lock on all my televisions so that FOX News is blocked.
