Are you pro life?
I'm pro life. Let me explain:
I would like to remove things that serve no other purpose than to kill living things: guns.
I would like to mandate things that save lives: COVID-19 vaccines.

Guns are Awesome!! Why don't you like guns?? By the way, I just bought a new handgun, you ever shot a 10mm?

Because they kill people, of course.
Or, rather, the presence of large amounts of easily available firearms in a society makes it much more likely that people will get killed, kill other people, or succeed in killing themselves.
I agree that they are technically interesting, and I once got a marksmanship badge. But it was won of those 'Been there, done that, got the T-shirt' things. I much rather have learned to play the piano.
