Wormtongue: Obama on hands and knees before the UN

With his Middle East policy imploding, Barack Obama “crawled” before “anti-American jackals” at the United Nations General Assembly today to apologize for a film that insulted Islam, said talk radio host Michael Savage.

We have the most spineless, dangerous president in American history,” Savage told his “Savage Nation” listeners today.

He expressed disgust for Obama giving deference to an audience that includes “Third World gangsters who sit there in their silk suits enjoying the 25 percent we the American taxpayer pay to keep them in their silk suits and their prostitutes on the Upper East Side.”

Notably, he said, the audience included the “Hitler of our time,” Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has called for Israel’s destruction.

The Obama administration has blamed the attack on the anniversary of 9/11 that killed U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens in Libya on rioting provoked by a bizarre anti-Islam trailer posted on YouTube.com, despite evidence of a coordinated attack by jihadists tied to al-Qaida.

Our president begs them to forgive him for the video, when it wasn’t the video that caused it,” Savage said of Obama’s speech today.

Obama told the General Assembly his has “made it clear that the American people and the American government had nothing to do with this video, and I believe its message must be rejected by all who respect our common humanity as an insult not only to Muslims, but to America as well.”

“I’m ready to throw up,” Savage said after playing a clip of Obama’s statement.

“Obama goes before the U.N. like a child and talks about a video? Uses the video to cover for his foreign policy disaster?”

Savage said Obama, who he called a narcissist, can’t ever admit he made a mistake, including his misjudgment of the so-called Arab Spring revolutions across the Middle East.

Obama thought that by appeasing the Muslim world, Savage said, “they would love him.

“Instead, they killed our ambassador, and he’s done nothing about it, except crawl on his hands and knees.”

The attack that killed Stevens and three American diplomatic staffers, Savage said, was an act of war requiring a military response.

Any other president would have launched missiles at their training camps,” he said, noting the Libyans have indicated they know who is responsible.

Is there no decency in thread titles?

Actually, I should ask this about any journalistic efforts that can find an attack point in everything. Seems like there is so much political stuff shoveling lies about everything. Wish when they make up their stuff there could be at least a glint of humor.

Worntongue, pederasty, phlogiston guns. Where will this all end? Will it be like Polygamy Porter, Some Schmo and William Schryver all achieving a critical mass Armageddon of offensiveness together?

Stay tuned.

Consider the source.

By which I mean of course Michael Alan Wiener, a.k.a. Michael Savage. Mr. Wiener has made many outrageous statements in his shock-jock career. For me, this one stands out:

In September 2000, Savage was discussing a program in which students from Branson, a coed upscale private school in Ross (a suburb north of San Francisco) volunteer to distribute sandwiches to the homeless in San Francisco. He said the following, which I think speaks much more to the identity of Michael Savage than it does to the Branson students or to homeless people:

Michael Savage wrote:The girls from Branson can go in and maybe get raped ... because they seem to like the excitement of it. There's always the thrill and possibility they'll be raped in a Dumpster while giving out a turkey sandwich."

That's the kind of insightful comment you can expect from Michael Alan Wiener.

Notice, of course, that there isn't a single citation from Obama in that article. Not a shred of evidence that he is bowing down to UN demands, or apologizing for America. The article is just a string of vicious assertions by some idiot radio talk show host which this author cites as if he were some authority on these matters.

That's all bcspace really needs though. Just someone else to assert things that supports his own need to believe Obama is of the devil. Evidence and facts don't matter to him. They just get in the way.

Of course, if you want to see what Obama actually said, you can read the transcript or watch his grovelling, cultural Marxist antics on Youtube. Your choice.

Obama's invertebrate wriggling as he makes statements such as "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam" while pretending that Middle Eastern Muslims are going to return this favor to Christians and Jews and after having apologized incessantly for our own First Amendment freedoms on repeated occasions and all but licking the boots of the mostly totalitarian, police state Arab world by incessantly attacking and fulminating over a faux movie trailer made by an obscure neurotic and placed on a social media site and holding, heels-dug-in, against all evidence to the contrary, that this video was the cause of a world-wide Jihadist uprising which just happened to begin on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks (which were an inside job, right Kevin? Right Bond? Right Krose? Right Bluff? Right Eric? Right Analytics? Right Pale? Right Screech? Right Beastie? Right TD? Right Toronto?)

It is an insult not only to Muslims, but to America as well -- for as the city outside these walls makes clear, we are a country that has welcomed people of every race and every faith. We are home to Muslims who worship across our country. We not only respect the freedom of religion, we have laws that protect individuals from being harmed because of how they look or what they believe. We understand why people take offense to this video because millions of our citizens are among them.

Can you believe this clown? Millions of Christians who took offense to "Piss Christ" or to pictures of the Virgin Mary smeared with elephant dung, or to Robert Mapplethorpe’s homosexual fetish art, all produced at taxpayer expense, were derided and mocked as the un-cool, the un-hip, and the monobrowed lower orders (all non-leftists) by the Anointed, while countless insulting, slanderous, mocking, sniggering attacks on Christianity, in all its traditional forms, and virtually all of its core values and ideals, from Hollywood and the pop music industry over decades, have gone without mob violence, mass murder, assassination, and the use of heavy weapons (anti-armor weapons, tactical explosives, etc.) against the slanderers, mockers, and sniggerers at Christianity, Judaism, and the moral values and ethos grounded in those religious systems. And in all this, no one - no one - on the Left, save perhaps the most obscure within the most obscure venues - have ever raised a finger of protest, disgust, or second thoughts, no, not until the Left's new noble savages - Third World Arab Muslims - assert that their hair-trigger feelings have been savaged by a doofy joke movie trailer.

Obama, good cultural Marxist that he is, pays the required lip service to the classical liberal tradition upon which the nation is founded:

I know there are some who ask why we don’t just ban such a video. And the answer is enshrined in our laws: Our Constitution protects the right to practice free speech.

Here in the United States, countless publications provoke offense. Like me, the majority of Americans are Christian, and yet we do not ban blasphemy against our most sacred beliefs. As President of our country and Commander-in-Chief of our military, I accept that people are going to call me awful things every day -- (laughter) -- and I will always defend their right to do so.

Americans have fought and died around the globe to protect the right of all people to express their views, even views that we profoundly disagree with. We do not do so because we support hateful speech, but because our founders understood that without such protections, the capacity of each individual to express their own views and practice their own faith may be threatened. We do so because in a diverse society, efforts to restrict speech can quickly become a tool to silence critics and oppress minorities.

We do so because given the power of faith in our lives, and the passion that religious differences can inflame, the strongest weapon against hateful speech is not repression; it is more speech -- the voices of tolerance that rally against bigotry and blasphemy, and lift up the values of understanding and mutual respect.

But then, Freud begins his slip:

Now, I know that not all countries in this body share this particular understanding of the protection of free speech. We recognize that. But in 2012, at a time when anyone with a cell phone can spread offensive views around the world with the click of a button, the notion that we can control the flow of information is obsolete. The question, then, is how do we respond?

Get that? "Sorry, Arab Muslim world, but the time when I could have nipped this in the bud and taken control of the media is long over. If I could, I'd be willing to help out (and I'd have much more flexibility when the election's over), but technology has simply caught up with socialism, and, even though we did once have the Fairness Doctrine, much more than that would have been required to stop this video from going around the world. Sorry, but the good old days when a people's revolutionary government could just shut down the papers, expropriate the radio and TV stations, and criminalize political speech they don't like is mostly over. We're working on that, but its, for all intents, over. I understand how you feel, but there's really not much I can do at this point."

Even more intelligence insulting is Obama's continued silly insistence that the movie had anything whatsoever to do with the worldwide Muslim violence and mob terrorism now underway. But the real degree of Obama's utter disconnection from reality, and his self-satisfied disdain for the intelligence of his audience, can be see here:

More broadly, the events of the last two weeks also speak to the need for all of us to honestly address the tensions between the West and the Arab world that is moving towards democracy.

The Arab world is "moving towards democracy"? Obama is either wholly decoupled from reality (a reality he has done everything in his power see come to fruition) or he thinks this kind of gushy utopian rhetoric actually resonates with his base (which it very well may do). He can't possibly believe that the bulk of the U.N. membership, which would like nothing more than to see Israel disappear from the map and millions of Jews in camps similar to those Hitler constructed for the same purposes, actually buys into this gaseous tripe.

Now, let me be clear: Just as we cannot solve every problem in the world, the United States has not and will not seek to dictate the outcome of democratic transitions abroad. We do not expect other nations to agree with us on every issue, nor do we assume that the violence of the past weeks or the hateful speech by some individuals represent the views of the overwhelming majority of Muslims, any more than the views of the people who produced this video represents those of Americans. However, I do believe that it is the obligation of all leaders in all countries to speak out forcefully against violence and extremism.

Really? He believes that "it is the obligation of all leaders in all countries to speak out forcefully against violence and extremism."? Really? The problem here is, of course, that a substantial number of the people in the chamber in which he was speaking are up to their ears in that very violence and extremism, and have been for a very long time. The U.N. is, indeed, not much more than a kind of diabolical frat house for Third World despots, kleptocrats, thugs, and racists, with the Jews and America having been singled out for special consideration for decades.

It can only get worse.

And there is nothing in that clip to suggest what Savage constantly asserts. That's why the article never once quotes Obama in anything he said. It is ignorant and callous to boot. This is just one of those "news" outlets the Right Wingers like bcspace try to use to shape opinion, and it is based on their own ignorance and bigotry. Facts become a nuisance, and so they can't leave it up to their audience to judge for themselves based on his comments alone. No, they have to explain for us what Obama really meant if they are to have any hope of convincing intelligent critical thinkers that their side is right.

You mean that "We have the most spineless, dangerous president in American history" and that Obama kisses the rings, makes nice, and apologizes for his own nation's unalienable rights and freedoms to “Third World gangsters who sit there in their silk suits enjoying the 25 percent we the American taxpayer pay to keep them in their silk suits and their prostitutes on the Upper East Side.”

All true. fundamentally and unambiguously true.

We have core worldview differences, which probably no amount of debate or discussion are going to be able to ameliorate. You are a socialist and I am a classical liberal.

Day, meet night.
