I am glad Andy Williams had a long and productive life. Thank goodness he declined attending the Spider Sabitch Ski Invitational hosted by Claudine Longet.

Loved the song Moon River. Glad he gave the show business break to the Osmond Brothers.

Williams started in show business as part of the Williams Brothers Quartet. The quartet broke up, and Andy went off on his own. I've often thought that it was his own family roots that gave him such empathy for the Osmonds.

Bit of trivia I leaned from someone close to the Osmonds: A choreographer on the Andy Williams show named Jack Regis was rehearsing the Osmonds for a dance number when he noticed Merrill Osmond was limping and wincing. He asked Merrill what was wrong. Merrill was evasive, but said his feet hurt. Regis asked him to take off his shoes. His feet were covered with blood blisters. After a few more questions, it was revealed that (father) George Osmond, a stern taskmaster, forced his sons to practice to the point where Merrill developed blood blisters. Jack Regis went to Andy Williams. Williams told George Osmond that if he ever saw those blood blisters again, it would be the last time they appeared on his show.

Jack Regis went on to become a director, and actually worked for the Osmonds on a show in their studio in Orem.
