How much control, do you suppose, does a President have over gas prices? If a President did, you would be screaming about governmental interference in the free market. You can't have it both ways.
After Obama's second term, who do you think the Republicans can field against Hillary in the 2016 elections?

Obama wants everyone to walk or ride bicycles ---- everyone except himself and the privileged elite --- I mean, special government officials.

Why do you think this is even remotely true? Where are you getting this?
Do you imagine that high gas prices are a burden to the president? He gets free gas and a great big car to guzzle it all up. All he needs to do is open up offshore drilling, and encourage fracturing for natural gas putting the Army corp of engineers to work to make such safer.

Gas was cheap for a while back then because of the financial crisis. Why don't you also remind us that interest rates were higher too? Are we going to thank Bush for crashing the economy, thereby making stuff cheap for a while?

The DOW Industrial was around 6500 in late 2008. It's now 13500.
Oil was around 60$ a barrel in 2008. It's now floating around 90-100.
China and India are adding tens of thousands of drivers everyday.
Anything else or should we discuss 2+2?

The oil companies lowered the price when they thought it would to help the great oil President, but would they help Obama? Oh Noooo. They're so crude.

The fact that there are a bunch of idiots in this country who think the president can control gas prices is part of the reason we're in the trouble we are now in. When Newt Gingrich, who clearly knows better, started advertising himself as the "2 dollar a gallon" president, I knew that he believes there are tons of idiots in this country, too. It's sad that he might have been right. BCspace proves him right by at least one.
