I know you thought something else when you saw the title, but it's still a true statement. Just a little word play to make a Liberal's ticker lose a beat and to help along the greying hair process.....

More Good News From California:

Proposition 30 support dips below 50%, survey finds

...

Gov. Jerry Brown’s tax plan is polling below 50% for the first time, according to a new online survey released from the California Business Roundtable.

Two weeks ago, the same poll showed support for Proposition 30 at 57.5% That has dropped to 49.5% in the latest survey, with 41.7% of those polled saying they were opposed to the measure.

The online poll of 830 likely voters was conducted Sunday through Wednesday. Radio and television ads began running against the governor’s measure during that time, and are likely the reason for the drop in support, says Rob Lapsley, president of the Roundtable.

The survey was taken just as proponents of a rival tax measure, Proposition 38, began airing ads that criticized Brown’s measure.

“Those ads would not have moved our numbers, but when we release the next survey in two weeks, we expect to see it in a big way,” Lapsley said.

Support for civil rights attorney Molly Munger’s Prop. 38 is virtually unchanged, with 41.9% in favor and 45.9% opposed to the measure.

The poll has a margin of error of 3.4%.

The survey also shows Proposition 32, the measure that would prohibit payroll deductions for political purposes from labor unions and corporations, slightly ahead. That’s markedly different from other public surveys, which show the measure trailing.

A tax Proposition would do better if it cut taxes and government spending more than the tax cut.
