but if she is an theist as well, then no loss is surely felt.....or....you are depriving her of the selfless act she hopes to achieve.
The best would be for you both to die simultaneously...or admit that atheists are inherently selfish.

if they are atheists as well, then see response #1
if they are LDS then your gesture would be to die first so they can baptize you posthumously.
if they are some other faith you are depriving them of "praying for your soul" and robbing them of "hope".
