Sure don't want to go to work this morning

I can't remember feeling this bad in a long time. Now I'm going totally OCD about problems that I'm powerless to change. All these years getting this degree and all that money I still haven't paid back. Nowhere to flee, nobody willing to fight. It looks like the healthcare law is going into effect for sure now.

Unfortunately we're all going to get a heavy reminder in a month or so when we do our taxes. I wish I could get my gross pay erased from my paystubb altogether. I'm as sick of seeing that meaningless number as I am of seeing Fox News election map predictions. I can't think about this anymore. I can't think about this anymore. I won't think about this anymore.

Stay in today, brew yourself a cup of herbal tea, put on Thelonious Monk's Monk's Dream, sit in the most comfortable chair you have, and let the word melt away.

Sometimes, when we've become emotionally exhausted, we have to find our body's "reset button." The above is one of the ways I can press mine (another way is via water colors and Radiohead).

Tomorrow will be a brighter day once you've had a moment of reprieve, and have regained the energy to process through a clearer lens. Hang in there, and try to enjoy a day unplugged from the world.

Just remember that Obama didn’t force you to take out student loans, and Romney didn’t promise that he’d pay them off for you. The great-society government you bemoan did allow you to take out those loans at below-market interest rates, and they also make the interest you pay on the student loans tax-deductible.

Haven't you insinuated that you are in the Healthcare industry? I somehow imagine that you are a nurse, or perhaps a Physician’s Assistant. That being the case, you should be happy that thanks to the ACA, more people will have health insurance and will be able to pay for your services.

It's what they want you to think. You have to work with what's available. Don't worry about what you can't change but every two, four, and six years. Don't wait around doing nothing until something changes. Take control and roll with it.
