American Women are the new "political chumps"

I have posted a link to the speech given by Malcolm X where he quite literally brands African Americans who vote democrat as being "political chumps"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BYVv4LY_KQ
He quite effectively makes his argument that in that time, African Americans were "political chumps".

Today, i read the following article and the author makes a good argument which has me conclude that the democratic party has found a new political chump as is being described by Malcolm X.

"Prior to her throat being slit, little Gisa's last words were probably a cry for help for someone to save her life. Sandra Fluke, on the other hand, is celebrated for furthering the fabricated, self-absorbed point that "[Paul] Ryan's abortion position kills women."
It is a shame that in some circles, women having to pay for their own birth control or abortion elicits a greater outcry than females being victimized by multiple assassination attempts or decapitation by a close relative.
In the end, for her part in the "war on women" Fluke did get a gig at the DNC Convention and will get her beloved contraceptives for free and, unlike young Gisa and Maria Santos Gorrostieta, will also likely achieve fame on the cover of TIME magazine.
Suffice it to say that while women suffer and die all around the world, in America, liberal "ladies" represented by the likes of political prop Sandra Fluke come across like a bunch of whining ingrates who defame the memory of martyrs like Maria Santos Gorrostieta and innocents like Gisa -- two victims of the world's real war on women."

So because women are treated horrifically in other countries, American women should have no input into the decision making process on health care benefits for contraceptive services?

The author seems to feel the appropriate response is "Shut up, little missy, and be grateful for what we give you." I don't understand. Children are being bombed in Syria. Does that mean we shouldn't talk about school lunch programs?

As I said in another post, in order to be famous Sandra Fluke needed a foil. Daryl Issa and Rush Limbaugh were only to happy to comply.

There is a visceral, almost palpable hatred of this woman that I don't understand. All she did is stand up and say what she thinks.

So should people who think poor kids should have school lunch programs shut up because children have it worse in other countries?

Let's all remember that Sandra Fluke will still be paying her insurance premiums which will cover the cost of her birth control. Same for other women. Their BC will now be covered under the insurance which they PAY FOR.

Poverty in America isn't all that much fun. Just because you don't have to worry about female genital mutilation doesn't mean you don't have inequalities to rectify and speak out against.
The birth control issue is linked to the poverty issue...which is linked to the crime and drug abuse issue. I can't understand why people are so against doing what we can to keep women and children out of poverty.

Boy, that Rosa Parks. What a chump she was! She had a god damn ride on the bus. What was her issue?

You want political chumps, don't look any further than poor tea partiers who fight for billionaires to avoid paying taxes, or the elderly who just voted for the pair who proposed to replace Medicare with vouchers.

i don't think anyone is claiming that walking and chewing gum is unapproachable...it is just a matter of priorities....American women rallied more and louder for one cause than the other. That is not to say that they do not care about either...but it is obvious where their, and their party's, priorities lie...the Democrats took the path of least resistance (which Fluke epitomized as being right up the skirt).

arguably yes...especially if their conduct reflects that they do not care to relieve that hunger elsewhere, because ultimately they should know the pain of that condition and to only consider themselves is indicative of being truly selfish.....

so why all the hub-bub?....spoiler alert: socialism? don't get me wrong, i appreciate some aspects of socialism-type-stuff, like public libraries, police stations, fire departments...but i just do not consider female birth control as being the same sort of social service as a fire department (respond with appropriate fire department apparatus, vehicle, or situation innuendo at will  ).

Private insurance policy, premiums paid by group members, birth control manufactured and sold by private companies, ... This is socialism?

 Some people seem to think so!

Some would rather pay for more prisons and ammunition than head start and medical care.
