Wait a minute, isn't Hershey, Pennsylvania the Chocolate City? Seems like a reference to New Orleans as the Chocolate City would be overwhelmingly the kind of thing Conservatives have to deny every election cycle.

It's big news down here on the bayou. One piece of good news, we're getting a tax break in Louisiana on our state taxes. Now if we could just find a way to export all the welfare cases to blue states, I'd be almost happy about having to spend my weekends at work. Hurricane Katrina was helpful but I think New Orleans needs another bath.

Whether it's Willie Herenton in Memphis, Marion Berry in Washington D.C., or Ray Nagin in New Orleans, it's all the same story. Everyone of the three guys I mentioned could easily get reelected in those cities, probably even from jail. So far, Ray Nagin has yet to exclaim, "The bitch set me up!," as mayor Barry did when he found out they had caught him smoking crack on tape. Mayor Barry still serves on the city council in Washington D.C. I guess it's fitting. These men are a good representation of the morality of the people living in these cities.

Chocolate city sure sounds racist to me...way to go bcspace.

But yes NEW Orleans is corruption.

NO it's the way of people working paycheck to paycheck who are tired of working over time so other people don't have to work at all.

Let's ask it this way. What southern city doesn't have a negro mayor up to his eyes in corruption? It looks like the status quo to me.
