Bring a book or some magazines to read. Don't pass up any chance to visit the bathroom.

Lucky. I've been notified from time to time that I might be called up during the current month but it's never happened.

Be prepared for the possibility of conflict about the decision. There is not much in the way of rules. It might help to make a start of good relations with fellow jurors.
If the situation was clear about guilty or not nobody would be bothering with the expense of a trial by jury. If there is a trial there is uncertainty. It will be on you.

I served on a Civil trial that lasted about 45 days. Yes, magazines and books. I kept notes during the trial, both to keep me engaged and to help sort information. Try to create a timeline of events. In the trial on which I served, different witness said things happened at different times. The reconciliation of differing stories can be important in deliberations.
If you are used to a fast-paced business environment, the wheels of justice do not spin rapidly. You just have to prepare mentally for long periods where little happens.

considering my Puerto Rican mother, not sure why you would ask such a question.....
a Mexican would be more appropriate for my crosshairs....
but alas
there were not 12 angry men
justice system is lame and offers little citizen involvement these days...the whole experience was disappointing.
next time i am not wearing any pants
