Boston Media Coverage

My heart goes out to those in Boston, we are watching the events unfold here downunder.

We get CNN and Fox, I am flicking between the two. Both are "live" news. It could almost be two different events the two channels are covering. According to Fox it is all chaos, and nobody knows what is going on. Police are "uncertain" if the JFK library bomb is linked to the marathon bombs. Fox do not seem to have covered the comprehensive and well conducted media briefing by the Police Commissioner and Governor. They just reported police notices as a voiceover to chaotic video. Utter chaos. No central control anywhere.

CNN have footage of a confident media briefing that releases up to date information, shows all the emergency services on site, and had the Commissioner saying they are treating the three incidents as linked. They have commentators discussing terrorism.

I hope Bostonians are watching CNN. I think it is awful that Fox have not shown the media briefing. I cannot fathom why.

Dude, I mean, that's fox. What did you expect?

Remember? This is Rupert Murdoch's little empire. They're not a real news channel. Have you ever heard of Rebekah Brooks?

Go watch "Outfoxed" and I think you'll realize that you shouldn't even think of murdoch and his evil empire. They're kind of like bonneville in that regard.

This is probably the best video I've seen that is non graphic though some will no doubt find it to be very disturbing. Catches the first bomb right up close at ground level:

I like both CNN and Fox News. However, I don't like MSNBC.
