...not shifting racial demographics:

WASHINGTON (AP) -- America's blacks voted at a higher rate than other minority groups in 2012 and by most measures surpassed the white turnout for the first time, reflecting a deeply polarized presidential election in which blacks strongly supported Barack Obama while many whites stayed home.

Had people voted last November at the same rates they did in 2004, when black turnout was below its current historic levels, Republican Mitt Romney would have won narrowly, according to an analysis conducted for The Associated Press.

Bcspace, what measures are Republicans willing to take to insure a lower black voter turn out in the future?

From That Article:

More significantly, the battleground states of Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida and Colorado would have tipped in favor of Romney, handing him the presidency if the outcome of other states remained the same.

Here is how Obama and Romney did in those key Battleground States in 2012:

Obama -- 13,350,661 - 50.89%
Romney - 12,513,079 - 47.70%

Total Votes Cast: - 26,232,699

Here is how Obama and McCain did in those key Battleground States in 2008:

Obama -- 13,746,646 - 52.39%
McCain -- 12,177,963 - 46.42%

Total Votes Cast: - 26,237,088

Here is how G.W. Bush and John Kerry did in those key Battleground States in 2004:

Bush -- 12,436,351 - 51.10%
Kerry - 11,719,280 - 48.16%

Total Votes Cast: - 24,336,005

already done, they lost to Obama...Obama's current policies and inability to run again will return apathy to that demographic.

So what happens when Hillary Clinton runs in 2016 and makes states like Kentucky competitive? Will you blame all the black people in the coal towns of Eastern Kentucky?

Mitt Romney won the State of Kentucky by 22 and a half percentage points. I doubt very much that Kentucky will be a Battleground State in 2016.

PPP (the pollster that did the best in 2012) did a preliminary poll of Clinton vs native son Rand Paul and found a 45-45 tie. Also 46-40 lead over Marco Rubio. Sauce.

Also Bill Clinton won KY in '92 and '96. Kentucky has more registered Democrats than Reps (about 300k more last time I checked) and most state wide offices are held by Democrats. Many people in KY won't vote for a black guy. They'll vote for a conservaDem from the south. It's simple.

You know I think if more people had wanted to vote for Romney the fellow could have been president.
