Yup, and beyond this, it really represents, for all intents, the effective end of the Constitution, the Declaration, Federalism, or in fine, the entire classical liberal project of the last two centuries.

What we essentially have now, in various forms and manifestations, is the Frankfurt School in power throughout the federal government and the major institutions of society. The typical "low information" voter's head is filled with its slogans, catchphrases, and nostrums, but has no idea where it really comes from or what its philosophical pedigree is.

The heads of the Ruling Class are filled with its hubris and mad dreams of unlimited, centralized, unaccountable power. The degree to which the Left has, for all intents, at least as goes the major governmental, educational, intellectual, and legal institutions of society, won the culture war, is quite alarming. It appears, for the present at least, to be pretty much over and done with. The question remains, however, just how long leftist rule and policy is sustainable, without provoking either a precipitous collapse of the entire edifice (with all that implies), or the dawning of a new dark age.
